@Raj Chanani: Gee, because India's doing so well with all its poverty and corruption... Vietnam is behind because of the war's devastation and its political ramifications such as US sanctions, you idiot. It's funny that if I started making insinuations about Indian people, imbeciles like you would be jumping up and down screaming.

As a Vietnamese-American, I feel that people should take personal responsibilities for their own actions--wrong or right. The male BF definitely should be equally condemned. At the same time, Linh is not some naive innocent virginal white flower of a victim blameless because of her age (19 is young but is enough for one to know better!) for not upholding what is the moral values of her society, country. Remember each country has different mores and those of Vietnamese are highly conservative and we must respect that regardless and not judge Vietnamese cultural values against the context of foreign/Western ones, especially in light of the celebs status we in the West has given to people like Hilton (who despite her fame are generally looked down upon by the American populace at large). And if Paris is a mark of shame on the degradation of traditional American values, so too are the antics of Linh and her BF an affront to Vietnamese. Perhaps some pontificating Westerners commented here don't see anything wrong with an age 50-70 dude hooking up with a teenage local girl and feel that the locals are working up over nothing, but imagine if it's your daughter. Try not to judge other foreign cultures based on narrowed, ethnocentric Western mindsets! I personally disagree with the rigid double-standard VN values but if most local people support them, then so shall I. And in this culture these behaviors are affronted to everything the Vietnamese believe in. Linh's celeb position as a model for the youth exacerbates it even more!

Please...Watch how you say things. I feel SO offended.

"They deserve nothing but misery at these Olympics because they have done nothing but pimp these games out to try to raise their place in the world thereby eliminating the true spirit of the games."

They've done nothing? They practice, practice and practice everyday and you call that NOTHING?

The last sentence "Screw the Chinese!" You know that's racist, right?
This doesn't make America any better why making remarks like this.
