People seem to be searching equally for boy/girl these days in China, at least according to Google Trends:

Does this mean the China gender gap will decrease soon?

But since there are significantly more boys than girls in China today, this means that more girls than boys are searching on the Internet. And since there are more boys, girls are more selective and lots of boys will go without a girl.

@glardo: But the searching terms using in the diagram are ’son’ and ‘daughter’. The ‘Boy v.s. Girl’ thing is just misleading.
