My Chinese Name

I’ve just been given a Chinese name for my class, which is:

? (xi1) is a literal translation of my last name, Bäck, meaning “brook,” while ?? (qing1 feng1) means something like “clear wind.” Should be fun to learn to write! The fine young lady who named me writes:

Chinese “Blogger” Furong Jie Jie Shut Down?

It seems that chinese “blogger” Furong Jiejie (frjj) has been shut down. Xiaxue is now permanently glad. Shi Hengxia writes:

“Just like that, it was all over,” she says, unusually deflated. “They blocked me. The Propaganda Department told the television stations and big newspapers to stop covering me. For some reason, they were uncomfortable.”
