非 – Fei – Very

As far as I know, Fei by itself doesn’t mean anything, but as Feichang (非常) it means “very” or “particularly.” It’s so pretty, with two wings side by side.

Fei means not or opposite. It negates. 非法 (not legal)
Chang means normal or ordinary. Think 常识 (Common knowledge) or 经常 (often)
That’s why Fei Chang means special or extraordinary.
